Welsh Super Cup 2016

May 21, 2016

This year we are excited about competing in an International Tournament, which is known as the Welsh International Super Cup. Some of the teams that played in the tournament last year were as follows: –

  • Pass 2 Pro (USA)
  • Athlone (Ireland)
  • Baerum FC (Norway)
  • Oasis Academy (Birmingham)
  • Barking Abbey School (London)
  • Cardiff City Development
  • PG10 (Private Welsh Academy)

The tournament is based at Cardiff University Sports Ground Llanrumney Playing Fields, Cardiff, Wales.

  • 9 Football Pitches and
  • 2 summer pitches
  • 1 Floodlit Grass Pitch
  • Modern pavilion
  • Changing and showering facilities

The ground has been host to a number of major international festivals, tournaments and other sports events. There is a dedicated team of experienced grounds staff maintaining the pitches, so we know you won’t be disappointed with the quality.

The tournament is open to all our players from Under 9s – Under 16s as we shall have squads in the respective age groups.

A full tour guide shall be given closer to the time, however we shall depart from Plymouth on the 3rd August, and the tournament shall take place between the 4th and the 7th August, and we shall return to Plymouth on the evening of the 7th August.

As per our February tour, to give the boys the best preparation, we shall travel up the day before the tournament so the boys can adjust to their surroundings, and it will allow us to have light training sessions the day before the tournament and prepare correctly.

We are striving to achieve the best possible results for our players and these tours form an integral part of this development process.

Over the past 12 months we have introduced some of our players to Bristol City, Southampton, Derby & Fulham and they have all represented the centre very well. Put simply they wouldn’t have had these opportunities if they weren’t part of our set up and we want to help your son be the best he can.
